Daily quote products are everywhere, but most are second-hand paraphrases. Originals does one thing: it brings the text back.

Every passage keeps its author, work, chapter, edition, link, and verification date. Chinese classics keep the edition's own characters and flag variants; Western classics keep the original language and translator; modern public letters are excerpted and linked.

Public-domain texts may be shown in full. In-copyright modern texts are short excerpts only. Modern copyrighted books are catalogued, not copied. If you are a rights holder and believe a passage is used improperly, contact us through the copyright page.
