崇一問：「尋常意思多忙。有事固忙，無事亦忙，何也？」 先生曰：「天地氣機，元無一息之停，然有個主宰，故不先、不後，不急、不緩，雖千變萬化，而主宰常定，人得此而生。若主宰定時，與天運一般不息，雖酬酢萬變，常是從容自在，所謂『天君泰然，百體從令』。若無主宰，便只是這氣奔放，如何不忙？」
