愛曰：「先儒論《六經》，以《春秋》為史。史專記事，恐與《五經》事體終或稍異。」 先生曰：「以事言謂之史，以道言謂之經。事即道，道即事。《春秋》亦經，《五經》亦史。《易》是包犧氏之史，《書》是堯、舜以下史，《禮》、《樂》是三代史。其事同，其道同，安有所謂異？」
