或問：「釋氏亦務養心，然要之不可以治天下，何也？」 先生曰：「吾儒養心未嘗離卻事物，只順其天則自然，就是功夫。釋氏卻要盡絕事物，把心看做幻相，漸入虛寂去了，與世間若無些子交涉，所以不可冶天下。」
