問：「『一日克己復禮，天下歸仁』，朱子作效驗說，如何？」 先生曰：「聖賢只是為己之學，重功夫不重效驗。仁者以萬物為體，不能一體，只是己私未忘。全得仁體，則天下皆歸於吾仁，就是『八荒皆在我闥』意；天下皆與，其仁亦在其中，如『在邦無怨，在家無怨』，亦只是自家不怨，如『不怨天，不尤人』之意；然家邦無怨於我，亦在其中，但所重不在此。」
