先生曰：「孔子有鄙夫來問，未嘗先有知識以應之，其心只空空而已；但叩他自知的是非兩端，與之一剖決，鄙夫之心便已了然。鄙夫自知的是非，便是他本來天則，雖聖人聰明，如何可與增減得一毫？他只不能自信，夫子與之一剖決，便已竭盡無餘了。若夫子與鄙夫言時，留得些子知識在，便是不能竭他的良知，道體即有二了。」
