「人一日間，古今世界都經過一番，只是人不見耳。夜氣清明時，無視無聽，無思無作，淡然平懷，就是羲皇世界。平旦時，神清氣朗，雍雍穆穆，就是堯、舜世界。日中以前，禮儀交會，氣象秩然，就是三代世界。日中以後，神氣漸昏，往來雜擾，就是春秋、戰國世界。漸漸昏夜，萬物寢息，景象寂寥，就是人消物盡世界。學者信得良知過，不為氣所亂，便常做個羲皇已上人。」
