問：「先儒謂『鳶飛』、『魚躍』，與『必有事焉』同一活潑潑地。」 先生曰：「亦是。天地間活潑潑地，無非此理，便是吾良知的流行不息。『致良知』便是『必有事』的功夫。此理非惟不可離，實亦不得而離也。無往而非道，無往而非工夫。」
