黃金者，用之量也。辨於黃金之理則知侈儉，知侈儉則百用節矣。故儉則傷事，侈則傷貨。儉則金賤，金賤則事不成，故傷事。侈則金貴，金貴則貨賤，故傷貨。貨盡而後知不足，是不知量也。事已而後知貨之有餘，是不知節也。不知量，不知節，不可謂之有道。
