桓公觀於厩，問厩吏曰：「厩何事最難？」厩吏未對，管仲對曰：「夷吾嘗爲圉人矣，傅馬棧最難。先傅曲木，曲木又求曲木，曲木已傅，直木毋所施矣。先傅直木，直木又求直木，直木已傅，曲木亦無所施矣。」
