故一人之治亂在其心，一國之存亡在其主。天下得失，道一人出。主好本，則民好墾草萊；主好貨，則人賈市；主好宮室，則工匠巧；主好文采，則女工靡。夫楚王好小腰，而美人省食；吳王好劒，而國士輕死。死與不食者，天下之所共惡也，然而爲之者何也？從主之所欲也，而況愉樂音聲之化乎！
