明主之動靜得理義，號令順民心，誅殺當其罪，賞賜當其功，故雖不用犧牲珪璧禱於鬼神，鬼神助之，天地與之，舉事而有福。亂主之動作失義理，號令逆民心，誅殺不當其罪，賞賜不當其功，故雖用犧牲珪璧禱於鬼神，鬼神不助，天地不與，舉事而有禍。故曰：「犧牲珪璧不足以享鬼。」
