聖人之諾已也，先論其理義，計其可否。義則諾，不義則已。可則諾，不可則已。故其諾未嘗不信也。小人不義亦諾，不可亦諾。言而必諾，故其諾未必信也。故曰：「必諾之言不足信也。」
