明主者，兼聽獨斷，多其門戶。羣臣之道，下得明上，賤得言貴，故姦人不敢欺。亂主則不然，聽無術數，斷事不以參伍，故無能之士上通，邪枉之臣專國，主明蔽而聰塞，忠臣之欲謀諫者不得進。如此者，侵主之道也。故《明法》曰：「下情上而道止謂之侵。」
