文學曰：「古者，事業不二，利祿不兼，然諸業不相遠，而貧富不相懸也。夫乘爵祿以謙讓者，名不可勝舉也；因權勢以求利者，入不可勝數也。食湖池，管山海，芻蕘者不能與之爭澤，商賈不能與之爭利。子貢以布衣致之，而孔子非之，況以勢位求之者乎？故古者大夫思其仁義以充其位，不為權利以充其私也。」
