大夫曰：「剛者折，柔者卷。故季由以強梁死，宰我以柔弱殺。使二子不學，未必不得其死。何者？矜己而伐能，小知而巨牧，欲人之從己，不能以己從人，莫視而自見，莫賈而自貴，此其所以身殺死而終菹醢也。未見其為宗廟器，睹其為世戮也。當此之時，東流亦安之乎？」
