文學曰：「周累世積德，天下莫不願以為君，故不勞而王，恩施由近而遠，而蠻、貊自至。秦任戰勝以幷天下，小海內而貪胡、越之地，使蒙恬擊胡，取河南以為新秦，而忘其故秦，築長城以守胡，而亡其所守。往者，兵革亟動，師旅數起，長城之北，旋車遺鏃相望。及李廣利等輕計－計還馬足，莫不寒心；雖得渾耶，不能更所亡。此非社稷之至計也。」
