文學曰：「兵者，凶器也。甲堅兵利，為天下殃。以母制子，故能久長。聖人法之，厭而不陽。詩云：『載戢干戈，載橐弓矢，我求懿德，肆於時夏。』衰世不然。逆天道以快暴心，僵屍血流，以爭壤土。牢人之君，滅人之祀，殺人之子，若絕草木，刑者肩靡於道。以己之所惡而施於人。是以國家破滅，身受其殃，秦王是也。」
