西突厥統葉護可汗遣真珠統俟斤與高平王道立來，獻萬釘寶鈿金帶，馬五千匹，以迎公主。頡利不欲中國與之和親，數遣兵入寇，又遣人謂統葉護曰：「汝迎唐公主，要須經我國中過。」統葉護患之，未成昏。
