畿內有蝗。辛卯，上入苑中，見蝗，掇數枚，祝之曰：「民以谷為命，而汝食之，寧食吾之肺腸。」舉手欲吞之，左右諫曰：「惡物或成疾。」上曰：「朕為民受災，何疾之避！」遂吞之。是歲，蝗不為災。
