上曰：「梁武帝君臣惟談苦空，侯景之亂，百官不能乘馬。元帝為周師所圍，猶講《老子》，百官戎服以聽。此深足為戒。朕所好者，唯堯、舜、周、孔之道，以為如鳥有翼，如魚有水，失之則死，不可暫無耳。」
