濮州刺史龐相壽坐貪污解任，自陳嘗在秦王幕府；上憐之，欲聽還舊任。魏徵諫曰：「秦府左右，中外甚多，恐人人皆恃恩私，是使為善者懼。」上欣然納之，謂相壽曰：「我昔為秦王，乃一府之主；今居大位，乃四海之主，不得獨私故人。大臣所執如是，朕何敢違！」賜帛遣之。相壽流涕而去。
