三月，辛亥，著作佐郎鄧世隆表請集上文章。上曰：「朕之辭令，有益於民者，史皆書之，足為不朽。若其無益，集之何用！梁武帝父子、陳後主、隋煬帝皆有文集行於世，何救於亡！為人主患無德政，文章何為！」遂不許。
