上嘗謂敬德曰：「人或言卿反，何也？」對曰：「臣反是實！臣從陛下征伐四方，身經百戰，今之存者，皆鋒鏑之餘也。天下已定，乃更疑臣反乎！」因解衣投地，出其瘢痍。上為之流涕，曰：「卿復服，朕不疑卿，故語卿，何更恨邪！」
