黃門侍郎劉洎上言，以「太子宜勤學問，親師友。今入侍宮闈，動逾旬朔，師保以下，接對甚希，伏願少抑下流之愛，弘遠大之規，則海內幸甚！」上乃命洎與岑文本、褚遂良、馬周更日詣東宮，與太子游處談論。
