丁亥，以中書令楊師道為吏部尚書。初，長廣公主適趙慈景，生節；慈景死，更適師道。師道與長孫無忌等共鞫承乾獄，陰為趙節道地，由是獲譴。上至公主所，公主以首擊地，泣謝子罪，上亦拜泣曰：「賞不避仇讎，罰不阿親戚，此天下至公之道，不敢違也，以是負姊。」
