相裡玄獎至平壤，莫離支已將兵擊新羅，破其兩城，高麗王使召之，乃還。玄獎諭使勿攻新羅，莫離支曰：「昔隋人入寇，新羅乘釁侵我地五百里，自非歸我侵地，恐兵未能已。」玄獎曰：「既往之事，焉可追論！至於遼東諸城，本皆中國郡縣，中國尚且不言，高麗豈得必求故地！」莫離支竟不從。
