阿史那社爾前後破其大城五，遣左衛郎將權祗甫詣諸城，開示禍福，皆相帥請降，凡得七百餘城，虜男女數萬口。社爾乃召其父老，宣國威靈，諭以伐罪之意，立其王之弟葉護為主，龜茲人大喜。西域震駭，西突厥、于闐、安國爭饋駝馬軍糧，社爾勒石紀功而還。
