金州刺史滕王元嬰驕奢縱逸，居亮陰中，畋游無節，數夜開城門，勞擾百姓，或引彈彈人，或埋人雪中以戲笑。上賜書切讓之，且曰：「取適之方，亦應多緒，晉靈荒君，何足為則！朕以王至親，不能致王於法，今書王下上考以愧王心。」
