事故也，君臣之際也。禮義者，人君之神也，且君臣之屬也。親戚之愛，性也。使君親之察同索，屬故也。使人君不安者，屬際也，不可不謹也。賢不可威，能不可留。杜事之於前，易也。水，鼎之汨也，人聚之。壤，地之美也，人死之。若江湖之大也，求珠貝者不令也。逐神而遠熱，交觶者不處，兄遺利。夫事左中國之人，觀危國過君而弋其能者，豈不幾於危社主哉！
