Guanzi, 第53篇禁藏, Entry 3 · 管仲（舊題）

故適身行義，儉約恭敬，其唯無福，禍亦不來矣；驕傲侈泰，離度絕理，其唯無禍，福亦不至矣。是故君子上觀絕理者，以自恐也；下觀不及者，以自隱也。故曰：譽不虛出，而患不獨生，福不擇家，禍不索人，此之謂也。能以所聞瞻察，則事必明矣。
