人君唯無聽諂諛飾過之言則敗。奚以知其然也？夫諂臣者，常使其主不悔其過，不更其失者也，故主惑而不自知也。如是則謀臣死，而諂臣尊矣。故曰：「諂讒飾過之說勝，則巧佞者用。」
