文學曰：「扁鵲不能治不受針藥之疾，賢聖不能正不食諫諍之君。故桀有關龍逄而夏亡，紂有三仁而商滅，故不患無由余、子臧之論，患無穆、威之聽耳。是以孔子東西無所遇，屈原放逐於楚國也。故曰：『直道而事人，焉往而不三黜？枉道而事人，何必去父母之邦。』此所以言而不見從，行而不得合者也。」
