文學曰：「無其能而竊其位，無其功而有其祿，雖有富貴，由跖、蹻之養也。高臺極望，食案方丈，而不可謂孝。老親之腹非盜囊也，何故常盛不道之物？夫取非有非職，財入而患從之，身且死禍殃，安得膢臘而食肉？曾參、閔子無卿相之養，而有孝子之名；周襄王富有天下，而有不能事父母之累。故禮菲而養豐，非孝也。掠囷而以養，非孝也。」
