賢良曰：「蓋橈枉者以直，救文者以質。昔者，晏子相齊，一狐裘三十載。故民奢，示之以儉；民儉，示之以禮。方今公卿大夫子孫，誠能節車輿，適衣服，躬親節儉，率以敦樸，罷園池，損田宅，內無事乎市列，外無事乎山澤，農夫有所施其功，女工有所粥其業；如是，則氣脈和平，無聚不足之病矣。」
