文學曰：「阻險不如阻義，昔湯以七十里，為政於天下，舒以百里，亡於敵國。此其所以見惡也。使關梁足恃，六國不兼於秦；河、山足保，秦不亡於楚、漢。由此觀之：沖隆不足為強，高城不足為固。行善則昌，行惡則亡。王者博愛遠施，外內合同，四海各以其職來祭，何擊拓而待？傳曰：『諸侯之有關梁，庶人之有爵祿，非升平之興，蓋自戰國始也。」
