Context
In the same resignation letter, Zhang described himself unusually candidly: not a conventional mature manager, not especially social, more interested in studying organizations and markets so as to reduce management, and happiest online, reading, listening to music, or spacing out. The self-portrait explains why handing daily management to co-founder Liang Rubo and moving himself to long-term thinking was the better arrangement.
