文學曰：「明者因時而變，知者隨世而制。孔子曰：『麻冕，禮也，今也純，儉，吾從眾。』故聖人上賢不離古，順俗而不偏宜。魯定公序昭穆，順祖禰，昭公廢卿士，以省事節用，不可謂變祖之所為，而改父之道也？二世充大阿房以崇緒，趙高增累秦法以廣威，而未可謂忠臣孝子也。」
