上於弘文殿聚四部書二十餘萬卷，置弘文館於殿側，精選天下文學之士虞世南、褚亮、姚思廉、歐陽詢、蔡允恭、蕭德言等，以本官兼學士，令更日宿直，聽朝之隙，引入內殿，講論前言往行，商榷政事，或至夜分乃罷。又取三品已上子孫充弘文館學生。
